Northern Lights Center
Our Drop-in Center, Emergency Shelter, and Supportive Housing — all under one roof.
About Northern Lights Center
In August of 2022, we took our largest step forward yet with the purchase of the Northern Lights Motel. We began housing community members in need immediately, sheltering nine households our first night. Thanks to widespread community support and many hours of work, the building now houses our Drop-in Center, Emergency Shelter, and Supportive Housing — all under one roof.
Drop-in Center
Serves people experiencing homelessness with a communal kitchen, guest phone, laundry, shower facilities, guest computer/printer/scanner, Housing Resource Navigation, and a food/hygiene/harm reduction shelf. No appointment is needed — just walk in during office hours.
Emergency Shelter
Six fully furnished studio units for single adults and couples, each with a private bed, bath, meal preparation area, Wi-Fi, off-street parking, and access to laundry and a communal kitchen. Stays are 30 to 90 days at no cost to guests with Case Management services.
Supportive Housing
Eleven one-bedroom units (15 when building rehabilitation is complete) of fully furnished, affordable, low-barrier housing with onsite support services. Tenants are on a lease with below-market rents and utilities included. To qualify, tenants must be homeless and living with a disability.
